Este povestea unui loc special, înnobilat de istoria celor 300 de ani ai Cetății Alba Carolina, un tribut adus razelor soarelui, bogățiilor nemăsurate ale pământului ce se revarsă elegant și discret în aromele și în savoarea vinului.
Puțini cunosc, că licoarea zeilor, pe cât de fascinantă, pe atât de nobilă, de răcoritoare și de dulce sălașluiește nemiscată în catacombele cetății, de mai bine de 70 de ani, în sticle îmbrățisate de amprenta timpului care a trecut peste ele.
Locul despre care îți vorbesc, găzduiește o vinotecă cu o colecție de peste 5000 de sticle de vin din fosta Rezervă de Stat, cum rar îți este dat să întâlnești, din soiuri specifice podgoriilor românești și nu numai…
Vinoteca HUGO este situată în șanțurile Fortificației de tip Vauban, Cetatea Alba Carolina, Bastionul Trinitarienilor, colțul de sud-est al vechii cetăți din epoca medievală, construită între anii 1715-1738, având în interior elemente de zid din cetatea Bălgradului din secolul XV-XVI și blocuri de piatră folosite în construcția castrului roman.
Locul, unic în felul sau, s-a născut din pasiunea pentru vin, gastronomie și excelență. Vă invităm sa deveniți oaspeții noștri pentru a degusta cele mai alese vinuri romanești din toate zonele geografice ale țării și de a vă delecta cu cele mai alese preparate culinare.
Vinoteca dispune de un spațiu de servit masa pentru maxim 18 persoane, de un bar cu o capacitate de 18 locuri, special amenajat pentru degustarea de vinuri și, bineînțeles de o vinotecă cu un spațiu de stocare de aproximativ 58.000 sticle de vin din care aproximativ 5000 de sticle au aparținut vinotecii vechi (fosta rezervă de stat) din anii 1950-1960 iar vinurile au stat nemișcate, timp de aproximativ 70 de ani. Locația fiind situată în catacombele Cetății, temperatura medie anuala este de 12,8 grade Celsius cu o umiditate de 75-85%, ventilație naturală și condiții excelente pentru păstrarea vinului.
